Questions about AI rewriting and detection
Learn how rewrites, detector estimates and document imports work, and what to check before using a result.
What does an AI humanizer do?
It creates another version of an English draft so you can review the phrasing, flow, and tone. Use it with ChatGPT drafts, other AI-assisted writing, or your own text. Compare both versions and edit the result before using it.
Can I try it free without signing up?
Yes. Guests can submit 50–500 words per request within a shared allowance of 500 words per day. A Free account raises the daily shared allowance and per-request limit to 2,000 words. Daily allowances reset at midnight UTC. Rewriting and detection both consume that allowance.
Will the rewrite preserve every fact or bypass AI detectors?
Neither outcome is guaranteed. Check names, deadlines, numbers, quotations, conditions, and the strength of each claim. A lower detector score does not prove human authorship or guarantee acceptance by a school, employer, or publisher.
Which writing styles can I choose?
Guests and Free accounts can use Standard. Pro and Plus also offer Casual, Professional, and Academic style options. Treat the selected style as a request and review whether the returned version suits your reader.
Which files can I import, and where does my text go?
Import text-based PDF, DOCX, or TXT files up to 10 MB, with an 80,000-character extraction limit. Scans need OCR, which is not included. Files go to the application server for extraction; submitted text is sent to external AI services. Signed-in tool requests are saved in your account history for up to 30 days. Read the privacy policy for details.
Does changing the interface language change the output?
No. The workspace currently requests English output. Spanish, French, German, and Chinese interface options help you navigate; they do not establish support for rewriting in those languages.
Can this detect writing from ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini?
You can check English text from any source. The service estimates writing patterns; it does not reliably identify a specific model. No independent model-by-model accuracy benchmark is published for NoteCleaner.
Does a high AI score prove someone used AI?
No. Both false positives and false negatives are possible. A score is not proof of authorship or misconduct. Read the sources, context, and draft history, and follow the rules that apply to the document.
Where does submitted text go?
Text passes through the application server to an external AI service. The service used may change when a fallback is needed. Signed-in requests save input and output in account history for up to 30 days; you can delete saved documents. Deletion from NoteCleaner does not establish deletion by an external provider. See the privacy policy before submitting sensitive material.
Is the AI detector also a plagiarism checker?
No. It does not search a source database, verify citations, or establish originality. An AI score and a plagiarism finding answer different questions.
How are checks counted against my allowance?
Each successful request counts its input words. Guests have 500 shared words/day; Free accounts have 2,000 shared words/day. A 200-word rewrite followed by a 200-word check uses 400 words. Paid plans have separate humanizer and detector allowances.
Why might sentence feedback be missing?
The connected service does not return sentence data for every response. You may receive an overall estimate without sentence labels. The absence of a highlight does not establish that a sentence was written by a person.
