Cookies & Browser Storage Policy

How NoteCleaner utilizes session storage, client-side preferences, and essential cookies.

Introduction to Cookies & Storage

This Cookies Policy explains how NoteCleaner uses cookies and browser storage. When configured, Google Analytics loads on site visits to measure usage.

Essential Browser Session Storage

We use your browser's local sessionStorage to store non-sensitive state necessary for tool operation—such as temporary editor input, active rewriting register ('Standard', 'Casual', 'Professional', 'Academic'), and user preferences. This data is stored locally on your machine and can be cleared at any time.

Functional & Preference Storage

Functional storage remembers your user interface choices across sessions, such as theme settings ('light' or 'dark' mode). For guest use, an essential anonymous cookie identifies your daily word allowance for 30 days. We do not use your IP address or a browser fingerprint as the guest identifier.

Analytics & Diagnostic Metrics

Google Analytics measures page visits, navigation, button clicks, form submissions, and product actions such as plan selection and copying output. Google may process device and browser information. We do not send draft text, form values, or account IDs to Google Analytics.

Third-Party Services & Authentication

When you interact with third-party authentication or payment providers, those external entities may set their own technical cookies to authenticate requests and secure transactions. Their usage is governed by their respective privacy and cookie policies.

Managing & Disabling Browser Storage

You can manage or clear cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. Disabling essential storage may affect interactive tools.
